Food Challenge 2010
I am very interested in creating a unique and personal way to interact with my readers. I can continue to post recipes and do videos but without the interactions, I never know if I am giving the readers what they want. My dear friend, Cathi came up with a very cool project and after giving me the download, I was all for it! I would like to introduce the “Weekly Food Challenge”
So, I want you to challenge me! It’s kinda like a stump the chef sorta deal, but the goal is not to beat me. The goal is for me to rise up and create new dishes that could fit into you and your families lifestyles and for us to generate a little creative inspiration in the kitchen. Okay, here’s the deal:
Take a look into your cupboard or fridge and pick a few ingredients that you don’t know how to use, or that need to be used up. With the list, I will then create a recipe for you. You then try it out, maybe take a picture, then send it back to me. If the dish was a hit, then I get a thumbs up! I would love to start featuring YOUR recipes on my blog, each week as we progress. I will also be giving away some of my herb and spice blends as gifts for your participation.
The rules. There really are no rules, but to stick with the integrity of my culinary beliefs, lets stick to unrefined, and unprocessed foods. No Ramen Noodles, soda, or Doritos please…
In return, I will offer, wholesome, pure, and nourishing recipes that will Full-Fill your life!!
To reply, click HERE, and you will be directed to my contact page. I look forward to your responses!
Chef Franky G

Great idea! This should be fun. Stay tuned….I’ll get a challenge to you soon!
Cheers,
Catherine
Hi Frank, I have a tub from healthforce nutrition called ‘earth’, its got mushrooms and stuff in it, tastes v strong – any ideas? Ah yes and damiana tea.
Good Morning Frank!
I just saw your post, and I am so excited about your challenge. And, I have a good one for you!
I am raw food chef, but not 100% raw. My views on cooking/life style are more raw foods meet whole foods. With that said, this is my food challenge to you: I am gluten intollerent and I am wanting you to create for me a sprouted whole grain bread that I can actually braid or make into bagels etc. I would love the ingredients to ebrace gluten-free grains, sprouted and also wholel. I would like the sweetener to be dates (open to molasses and maple syr. honey). This does not need to be a raw recipe. And, if you are able to create a dry mix I can store that would be awesome! Are you up for the challenge? I am irish and love the crusty exterior of the bread with chewy soft interior!
Thanks so much!

Hey Chef Franky….
This is a great idea… you may be in for more than you bargained for
… and for the record, I watch all of your videos for cooking ideas so please don’t stop them.. Would like to see a section devoted to vegetarian if possible, but I’m happy to pick through
Peace
Dave
Hi Chef Frank!
Thanks for all you do to keep us healthy and educated. Can you please, please give us some ideas for kid dinners???
Cacoa, coconut oil with honey, maple syrup, etc. chocolate ~ rich and creamy with raw cashew butter ~ kind of like Reese’s peanut butter cups.
Also, chocolate brownies with avocado ~ rich and chewy.
Thanks,
Renee
I have my own chickens and rabbits and I have not yet established a good enough market to sell or even give away as many farm fresh delicious organic eggs as keep coming– and I also have some mean rabbits in the freezer. I tried aging them three days and then slow cooking; the meat is rather mild. I have the skills for souffle, but not the pan– if you can figure a tasty rabbit souffle, then I’ll get the dish and make it– photos and all.
I wanted to know how you are training for your run… there is no way I could run a hundred miles– I biked it once- HA! but I was thinking I would like to try to do half your training schedule, if you would share it…
and one other thing I really really could use is a way to plan my garden so that I have enough beets and potatoes and onions– kind of doing the shopping list in seeds and compost… and not coming up empty in February…
Hey Franky G!
What a sweet idea!!!!! Thanks so much for doing this
Alright, here’s our list:
- fresh, wild stinging nettles
- wild moose rib/soup bones
- organic young thai coconut (yep, we have access to organic ones)
- raw, grassfed, farm fresh dairy (either butter, yogurt or cow milk – take your pick what you want to use)
Any other veggies, herbs/spices, sea veggies, superfoods or other surprises you want to throw in there go for it! We’re not hung up on whether it’s cooked or raw so go with your heart’s desire
Awesome!!!!
Thanks so much!!!!! You rock!!!!!!!!
Blessings & Appreciation,
Tirra
PS – Any thoughts on coming back to Vancouver BC? Would be great to have you & Camille come out & do a traditional foods workshop
I just started body ecology again and wonder if you have some recipes that are on the diet. that is a challenge if you ask me! no sugar, fruit, beets, dairy (except raw butter), soy, vinegar, rice, gluten, etc etc
thoughts???
Hi Franky! Great Idea, I love all of your video’s
okay I have for you:
Artichoke Hearts
Flax meal
watercress
almonds
walnuts

Have fun!!! I can’t wait too see what you come up with!
I’ve been getting fresh raw thick cream every week and would LOVE to combine it with dark greens! Maybe a creamy dandelion or spinach soup or broccoli drizzled with cream sauce?
Great food challenge idea, guys! Thumbs up!
Weird-o-rama, this must be a universal download. I was just pondering something like this during a meditation. I know your talents and would love to see what you come up with. If you want to play ping pong, you can send the challenge my way to see what I come up with. Wow… that’s a cool concept.
Adam

I know you got at least one video challenge and it is be fun for us to see what kind of challenges folks are sending in & from where. Maybe you could post it on your you tube channel…. I am putting my list of ingredients together that I need tips with… Thanks Frank!!

Hi Franky…
Here are some dry things I pulled from the cupboard… just a few
I have many dry beans, but I choose garbanzo beans because I have a lot more of them for some reason and need a reason to cook them up
mai fun rice noodles – in the package for a while now.. and in need of a home (note, I don’t cook with them much because I have a hard time keeping them separate without adding olive oil)
coconut – I have about four cups in a container… I use a tiny tiny tiny bit here or there.. but… would love to have a home for some of this too
so, there you have it
dry garbanzo beans
mai fun rice noodles
coconut
Peace
Dave
